Dena May (DeVos) Deitrick, 94, of Knoxville, passed away at her daughter’s home in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday, April 20, 2017. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 420 Watrous Ave. in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dena was born in Knoxville, Iowa on June 28, 1922, to Jesse and Iona (Noftsger) DeVos. She attended school in Knoxville and following school married Paul Deitrick on June 6, 1943. Dena enjoyed gardening, sewing, and baking.
Those left to cherish her loving memories are her children Susan (Robert) Raley, of Des Moines, IA, and Dennis (Carolyn) Deitrick of Newton, IA; grandchildren Justin Raley, Kisha Von Muegge, Tina Kokemiller, and Amber Johnson; great-grandchildren Octavia Von Muegge, Davin Von Muegge, Yanno Raley, Tyler Kokemiller, Cody Kokemiller, Lexis Kokemiller, Kolby Johnson, and Gavin Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
