Funeral services for Delmer Jesse Hegwood, 61, who died Feb. 16 at the Good Smaritan Hospital in Hastings, Nebr were held there Feb. 19 with Rev. William Goldbeck officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A native of Knoxville, born November 26, 1908, the son of Jesse Silas Hegwood b.Feb 2, 1871 -d. Jul 27, 1952 and Gertrude May Patch b. Dec 23, 1877 d. Dec 26, 1949.
Delmer had lived in Hastings since 1942 and was retired from Civil Service employment in 1950. Since that time he had been manager of the state store at the Hastings, Reginal Center. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was united in marriage to Helen Maxine b.July 28, 1909 d.Mar 23, 1994. To this unon a son, Kenneth Hegwood of Juniata, Neb,; and a daughter Mrs. Alvin Parker of Doniphan, Neb were born.
Surviving are three grandchildren.
