Dawna Deloris (Ter Louw) Caylor was born on November 1, 1934 in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of David Meyer and Ollie Beatrice (Woods) Ter Louw. She attended school in Attica and Knoxville.

Dawna was united in marriage to Charles Dewayne Caylor on June 22, 1952, at the United Methodist Church in Knoxville. The couple made their home in Knoxville, where they raised their family and she was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital in their Food Service Department.

Dawna was a member of the Apostolic Church of Knoxville, where she taught Sunday School.

Dawna passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at the Knoxville Hospital at the age of 79 years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Caylor; children, Nina Lynn (Thomas) Kelly of Canby, Oregon, Clifford (Nellie) Caylor of Chariton, Philip (Anne) Caylor of Mendota, Illinois, Kevin (Jeanine) Caylor of Knoxville, and Jason (Rita) Caylor of St. Cloud, Minnesota; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Church in Knoxville. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
