Dawn Marie Mitchell, 37, of Knoxville, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at
the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd
from 3-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. Funeral
services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24th also at Williams Funeral
Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Dawn was born on September 18, 1972,
in Knoxville, to David and Violet (Cortez) Mitchell. She grew up in Knoxville and
attended Knoxville High School, graduating with the class of 1991. Dawn was a life
long resident of Knoxville. Dawn enjoyed listening to music, her pets, and mushroom
hunting in the spring, but most of all she loved her children very much.
Dawn is survived by her son, Taylor Francis David James Mitchell of Des Moines, IA; her
daughter, Abigail Dawn Mitchell of Waukee, IA; her parents, David, and Violet Mitchell
of Knoxville, brother, James Mitchell of Knoxville, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins
and a host of many friends.
