Services for Darlene 0. (Robinson) Bubon, 79, of Moline, Ill., who died October 11, 1996, at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, in Moline, were held October 15, 1996, at DeRoo Funeral Home in Moline.
Graveside services were also held October 15, at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Darlene was born December 21, 1916, in Knoxville, the daughter of David Sylvester Robinson (1892 – 1962) and Bertha "Dottie" Lena Holmes Robinson (1896 – 1985.
She was united in marriage to William V Bubon Sr.,(1915 – 1975) on November 20, 1937, in Berwyn, Ill.
She retired in 1984 as chief deputy clerk at Rock Island Circuit Court. She was a member of Friends Circle Club, Moline; Croation Crest Club, Moline; Christ the King Church, Moline; Rock Island County Retirees Club; and Orion (Ill.) Sportsmen's Club. She also was a volunteer for Trinity Medical Center Hospice Program.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Antonia Faye Bubon (1943 – 1943.and sister; Lauraine Carmilla Robinson May (1914 – 1996) and brother; Paul Louis Robinson (1915 – 1969)
She is survived by a daughter, Judy, of Bettendorf; a son, William V. Bubon Jr., of Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Norma Sedlock of Moline, and Hester Chisholm of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Leland Robinson of Knoxville; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
