Connie Sue Crook, was born in Knoxville on June 26, 1945, the daughter of William Gail Crook b.Nov 25, 1912 d.May 4, 1973 and Alta Thompson b. Dec 16, 1914 d. June 24, 2008.
Connie Sue Crook, 63, died on November 9, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, November 13 at The First Assembly of God Church in Knoxville.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville.
Many of local Knoxville residents will remember Connie for her cooking at the Marion Coffee Shop, Beulah’s and other Knoxville cafes.
She spent most of her life in Knoxville. She only left Iowa to go on vacations with loved ones. Her main loves were her family, church, kids and friends.
She was the youngest in the family. She leaves behind a sister, (Phyllis) Sarah Anne Haberer in Colorado Springs, CO, and a brother, Phillip Crook of Knoxville, along with many nieces and nehews.
Connie had been a lifelong member of The First Assembly of God Church in Knoxville. She enjoyed helping the kids in Sunday school, transporting and watching after them.
After an early retirement, Connie looked forward to family, friends, and kids visiting her. She kept busy by helping her mom, Alta, make baby quilts. Connie will be missed by all of those close and dear to her.
She was looking forward to seeing her mom and dad, Florence and William Crook, in heaven, upon closing her eyes.
