Cole Lyle Irving was born June 23, 1952 to John and Caroline Irving at Oskaloosa,
Iowa.
He attended elementary school at Columbia and graduated from Knoxville High
School in 1970. Cole worked at Maytag, Knoxville Building and Supply, C & L Drywall,
Agan Farms, Knoxville Coop and most recently at Wal-Mart. Cole was an avid hunter
and fisherman. He loved to putter in his workshop and was always willing to help
friends and neighbors.
Cole attended Columbia United Methodist Church as a boy and
was currently a member of Pleasant Prairie United Methodist Church.
He married Julie Nichols in 1971 and to this union two sons were born.
Cole passed away February 5, 2006 and is survived by his wife,
Julie; sons: Chad Irving (Michelle) of Knoxville and Luke Irving of Columbia; parents:
John & Caroline Irving of Colunbia; in-laws: Carolyn & Jr. Nichols of Chariton;
brother-in-law, Dennis Nichols (Su Im) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren: Carson, Rachel
and Devin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
