Services for Cleo Anderson, 83, of Columbia, who died Dec. 25, 1986 at Griffin Nursing Center, were held Dec. 28 at Williams Funeral Home.

Interment was in Gosport Cemetery.
Rev. Wauneita McConnell officiated at the services. Music was preceded by Joe Adkins, organist, and Caroline Irving, vocalist.
Pallbearers were Craig Carter, Donald DeMoss, Tom Anderson, Norlan Harvey, and Barry and Wesley Mathes.

Mrs. Anderson was born July 19, 1903, the daughter of William Otis and Frances Bingaman Grimes.

On March 12, 1927, she married Clark Anderson. She taught school in Marion County and farmed with her husband until moving to Knoxville in 1986.

She was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one sister Venita Harvey.

She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Schrader of Chariton and Glenna Mathes of Monroe; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella.
