Cindy Lou Courtney, 64, of Daytona Beach, Florida went to her eternal reward on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
A private family Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Reverend Madonna Courtney will be officiating.
Cindy was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on March 22, 1956. She was the daughter of William James and Patricia Joyce (Beaver) Courtney. Cindy lived most of her life in Knoxville, Iowa and attended school in Knoxville. She was a member of the 1974 graduating class of Knoxville High School.
Cindy gave birth to a little girl, Amber Dawn on January 4, 1979. Cindy worked in the HyVee bakery in the 1990s and continued to enjoy baking throughout her life. In 1997, Cindy and Amber moved to Daytona Beach, Florida, where she lived until her death.
Cindy attended church services at the Knoxville Assembly of God Church and later in Daytona at the Victorious Life Church. In both churches Cindy was well known for her frequent loving hugs.
Cindy is survived by her daughter Amber (Mike) of Meridianville, Alabama, two sisters, Cheryl Noel and Madonna Courtney both of Daytona Beach, 2 nieces, 5 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, William; mother, Patricia; brother, Harold Courtney; and sister Joyce (Courtney) Glover.
In lieu of flowers financial support for the funeral expenses would be appreciated.
