Charlene Wilma Robuck was born on August 20, 1924, in Attica, Iowa the daughter of Ward Robuck and Dessie (Bailey) Robuck.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1942. After graduation, Charlene started working at the Knoxville V.A. Hospital.
She was employed by the V.A. for over 37 years as a secretary in administration before her retirement. Charlene always enjoyed helping organize the Christmas parties that the V.A. held for children.
She was an avid reader and liked ceramics and craftwork. She also enjoyed bowling during her working years. Charlene’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her nieces and nephews and attending Robuck family reunions.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Charlene passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2003, at her home at the age of 78 years, 4 months, and 26 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Floyd.
Those left to honor her memory include her brother, Charles Robuck of Pleasantville; 4 nieces: Joann Steger of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Judy Bailey, Nancy Smith, and Scherry Robuck all of Knoxville and 5 nephews: Charles Robuck, Jr. (Sonny) of San Diego, California, Jim Robuck of Seattle, Washington, Tim Robuck of Lexington, Kentucky, Robert Robuck of Michigan and Ward Robuck of Woodbury, Minnesota; 17 great-nieces and nephews; numerous great-great nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
