Services for Emma Charlene (Harrington) Barber, 79, of Knoxville, who died Jan. 21, 1987 at her home, were held Jan. 24 at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home.

Interment was in Breckenridge Cemetery, Marion County.
Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiated at the services. Music was provided by James Kidder, organist, and John Crawford, soloist.
Pallbearers were Paul, Roger and Max Harrington, Wendell and Weston Laing, and Tim Maher.

Mrs. Barber was born Sept. 12, 1907 at Harvey, the daughter of James E. and Bessie Morris Harrington.
A life long resident of Marion County, she graduated from Knoxville High School in 1925.

On April 29, 1950 at Sidney, she married Fred G. Barber.

She was a bookkeeper for Bellamy Telephone Company for 27 years, retiring in June 1952.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Marion Rebekah Lodge No. 70 for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband; two stepchildren, Fred Barber of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Mary Louise Williams of Oceanside, Calif; one sister; Helen Adair of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
