Cecil Eugene Stanton, 85, Aitkin, Minn., formerly of Rock Island, died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at home.
Services were held April 11 at Cuyuna Regional Care Center Chapel, Crosby, Minn. Burial was in Livingston Cemetery, near Numa, Iowa.
Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, handled the arrangements.
Mr. Stanton was born July 12, 1911, in Numa, to Ralph O. and Loa A. Parks Stanton.
Survivors include his wife, Eulalie "Lally"; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Margaret Stanton, Takoma Park, Md.; stepsons, David Martin, Waldport, Ore., Christopher Brohaugh, Missoula, Mont., Steve Brohaugh, Stacy, Minn., and Roy Brohaugh, Lindstrom, Minn.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Williams, Lincoln, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris M. Stanton, in 1988; his parents; three brothers; and a sister.
