Funeral services for Catherine (Thompson) Rollstin, 72, of Knoxville, who died May 24, at
the Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held May 27, 1999, at the EvansMcCleery
Funeral Home in Knoxville. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. The Rev.
Martha Ward officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Kevin Spaur, John Hess,
Jerry Stahl and Larry Stahl.

Catherine was born September 22, 1926, in Davenport,
the daughter of Ed and Orpha Reed Thompson. She graduated from Knoxville High School
and lived in Knoxville most of her life.

She was united in marriage to Doyle D.
Rollstin on July 3, 1951, in Knoxville. She worked for Speed Drug Store for several
years, and retired in 1988, after 27 years as a secretary at the Knoxville Junior
High School.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist
Women, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Knoxville Area
Retired School Personnel Association, Friends of the Public Library, Marion County
Historical Society, and Knoxville Area Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded
in death by her husband; her father; a sister, Wilma Norton; her step-father, Walter
Adams; and a half-brother, Charles Thompson.

She is survived by her mother of Knoxville;
a son, Donald of Victorville, Calif.; five grandchildren, three step- grandchildren;
one great- grandchild; and her special friend, Lenora Mihm of Knoxville.

Memorials
may be made to the First United Methodist Church, and to the Marion County Historical
Society.
