Carrol Marsene Hollingshead died Dec 1, 1958.
Funeral services for Carroll M. Hollingshead, 53, were held at
1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 4, at the Garland Chapel in Oskaloosa. Burial was in the Forrest cemetery in Oskaloosa.
Mr. Hollingahead passed away
Monday morning at Skiff hospital
Newton.
He is survived by his wife
Juanieta Gertrude Rogers, and a daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Everling of Cainvilie. Mo., two brothers, Glenn Wright Hollingshead (b. Sept 16,1900-d.Apr 30, 1991) and Howard Merwin Hollingshead of Knoxville, and a sister, Vera Hollingshead of Des Moines.
Born December 30, 1903 at Knoxville, he attended Knoxville schools and the State University of Iowa for three years. While at Iowa, he was a member of the Hawkeye football teams.
He served as mayor of Monroe
1962.
Mr. Hollingshead was an active member of the Central Iowa Kennel club, raising miniature Pinschers and Weimaraners. He attended the Monroe Methodist church and was a long-time member of the Monroe Odd Fellows lodge. He was also a member of the fraternal order of Eagles of Oskaloosa.
A Maytag employee since 1945, he worked in the plating department and since February 1955 had been working in the plant One tool service. –Monroe Mirror.
