Carolyn Louise Stubbs Funeral services for Carolyn Louise (Jones) Stubbs, 78, of Knoxville,
who died June 4, at her home, were held June 7, 1995, at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home
in Knoxville.
Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. The Rev. Aaron McCombs
officiated at the services. Music was provided by Annette Grimes and Barbara Marvelli.
Pallbearers were Richard Jellema, Carl Schwanebeck, Leland Karr, Bill Grimes, Don
Donkalio, and Myron Thompson. Honorary bearers were Bill Lundy, Gene Stotts, Charles
Wooldridge, Randy Bellon, Jack Wooldridge, and Bob Blair.
Carolyn was born in September
14, 1916, in Marion County, the daughter of William H. and Mable Ann Brawner Jones.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1935.
She was united in marriage to
Ralph Caffery Stubbs on June 24, 1936, in Davenport. The couple lived in Knoxville
their entire married lives. She was a homemaker, and after the death of her husband
in 1972, she went to work at Collins Hospital, and later Knoxville Area Community
Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Knoxville.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Corwin Jones, and Howard Jones.
She is survived by three daughters, Loretta Ann Wooldridge and Kathy Louise Harvey,
both of Knoxville, and Jennifer Sue Krpan of Melcher-Dallas; nine grandchildren,
and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
