Carma Lee (Caylor) Pickering, 63, formerly of Knoxville, IA, was born October 18, 1952, to Clarence Forrest and Nina Evelyn (Iverson) Caylor.

She attended Knoxville High School with the Class of 1971.

She passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2016, at the residence of her daughter, Julie Handeland in Des Moines, IA.

Carma, the wife of the late Steven Gregg Pickering, is survived by five children: Gregg Pickering and Sherrie of Knoxville, Julie Handeland and fiancé, Draper Sims of Des Moines, Tamie Ryken, and fiancé, Glenn Higby of Carroll, IA, Michelle Watson of Des Moines, Steven Pickering, Jr. and Kim of Knoxville; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Carma was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband, Steven Pickering, in December 1991; two sisters; Myrtel Burklander; and two brothers, Dewayne and Clarence Caylor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held
Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Knoxville, Iowa

Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery at Knoxville, Iowa

Visitation will begin after 1:00 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Carma Caylor

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Williams Funeral Home

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
