Services for Bruce G. Worrall, 55, rural Winterset, who died on March 22, 1990, at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis, were held Mon., March 26, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. David Bauer providing the service. Military graveside services were held by the VFW of Winterset at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Knoxville on Sept. 29, 1934, he was the son of Roy and Minnie Naaktgeboren Worrall.
He was a network supervisor for U. S. West Communications and had lived here the past 25 years, after coming from Stuart. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post and American Legion posts in Winterset and a past member of the Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his mother, Minnie T. Betzer of Avery, and his stepfather, Earl Betzer; his wife, Marti of Winterset; a son, Gary of Independence and Roy, Doug and Kirk, all of Winterset; brothers, Roy Jr. and Larry of Arvada, Colo., Tom of Guttenberg, Dave of Eddyville and Richard of Killeen, Texas; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
