A Mass of Christian Burial for Bruce Coady Clarke, 32, of Charleston, S.C., formerly
of Knoxville, who died April 19, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident,
was held on April 24, 1997, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Knoxville. Burial was
at Graceland Cemetery.

A Vigil Service was held on April 23, at Bybee and Davis Funeral
Home in Knoxville. The Reverends Philip Ryan and Thomas Parlette served as celebrants.
Music was provided by Jim Kidder, organist, and Katie Davis, soloist. Pallbearers
were David Isley, Kevin Waits, Mike Thomas, Kevin Houser, Troy DeJoode, and Kevin
Kelderman. Honorary bearers were Todd Sells, Dan Wignall, and Tim McClung.

Bruce
was born May 27, 1964, in Garden Grove, Calif., the son of Thomas and Donna Coady
Clarke Sr. He was raised in the Flagler area and attended Knoxville schools, he
was a cross country and track star. He was employed by Hy-Vee while in high school.

He traveled extensively, settling in South Carolina seven years ago. He was a general
foreman and pipefitter for the Grinnell Fire Protection Company in Charleston, S.C.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Knoxville.

He was preceded in
death by his grandparents; an uncle, Jim Coady; and an aunt, Carol Coady Smith.Bruce Clarke
He is survived by his parents; three brothers, his twin, Brian of Iowa City, Thomas
Jr. of Flagler, and Randy of Melcher-Dallas; two sisters, Cindy Marshall of King William, Va.,
and Carol Reed of Tarawn Terrace, N.C.; his fiancee, Stacy Dawn Harris,
of Summerville, S.C.; an aunt, Betty Clark of Pekin, Ill.; three uncles, Bill Coady
of Salton Sea, Calif., William Clarke of Knoxville, and Irl Clarke Jr., of Flagler;
and a great uncle, Frances IA IMP Coady of Albia.

Memorials may be made to the family.
Arrangements were made by Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.
