Brenda Sue (Heaton) Brown, 58, of Knoxville, IA passed away early Monday morning at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella, IA.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Kirk Brown; her children: Katie McCreery of Knoxville, Kyle Bazer of Pella, Brandon Pettyjohn, and Lindsay both of Knoxville; several grandchildren; her father, Jack Heaton and her brother, Martin Heaton of Knoxville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11:00 am- at Williams Funeral Home, Knoxville, Iowa.
Interment will be made in the Spurgeon Cemetery at Pleasantville, Iowa at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family at their discretion.
Williams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Brenda Sue Heaton was born on August 5, 1963, in Knoxville, Iowa. Brenda graduated from Knoxville High School. Her Class of 1981 just celebrated their 40th class reunion which she was not able to attend due to her illness and treatments.
Brenda worked as a waitress. In 1982, she and Kenneth Bazer were united in marriage, and they had two children: Kalene Renae and Kyle Kenneth.
Her family later grew to include her children: Brandon Michael Pettyjohn and Lindsay Lorraine Pettyjohn and the family lived in Bussey and Lovilia, Iowa for a short time.
Brenda later married Clifton Dwayne Forbes and following his death, she and Kirk Brown were married in 2012. Brenda’s life was all about her family.
She appreciated simple things such as plants and lilacs and enjoyed hummingbirds. Following a very brief diagnosis, she passed away early Monday morning, September 27, 2021, at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella, Iowa at the age of just 58 years.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Kirk Brown of Knoxville; her four children and their families:

Brenda leaves her father, Jack Ray Heaton, her brother, Martin Ray Heaton, and his wife, Anna, who faithfully remained at Brenda’s side during her final days; along with several nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Cliffton Forbes; a granddaughter, Karlie Kingery; her mother, Karen Sue (Koons) Heaton; two sisters: Nancy Lorraine Heaton, who died in infancy, and Jacklene Eudora Parker, and her brother, Garret Wade (Gary) Heaton whom Brenda made a home for until his death on August 7, 2021, at the age of 51 years. Brenda will be remembered for her faith in God and her caring nature.
