Bonnie Jo (Shinn) Loynachan was born Jan. 11, 1912, in Knoxville, the daughter of
Noel and Alice (Ivey) Shinn. She graduated from Knoxville High School.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Edmond Nichols and she later married Everett Loynachan.

As a young woman, Bonnie worked on the farm, raising sheep and selling eggs.

For overĀ  25 years she owned and operated Loynachan’s, a ladies’ clothing store on the Knoxville
Square.

She was active in the Chamber of Commerce, the Order of Eastern Star, the
First United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau, of which she was past president.

In her spare time, Bonnie loved to travel, throughout the United States, Europe, and to the Panama Canal.

Her greatest joy was family; she loved holiday gatherings and other family events.

Bonnie passed away on Oct. 30, 2008, at the Knoxville Hospital at the age of 96.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Loynachan, and a brother, Joe Shinn.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Cleo Nichols (Rhea), and granddaughter, Tessa Nichols all of New York, N. Y.; and two brothers

Benoni Shinn and Noel Shinn, Jr. (Betty) both of Knoxville, and many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville on Nov. 4, with Rev. Neil Montz officiating.
Interment was at the Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
