Bobbie died peacefully at his home on Friday, October 21, 2005. Services will be 10 am Tuesday, October 25 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Panther Creek Cemetery Friends may call after 2 pm Monday and family will greet friends from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

Bob was co-owner of the Chamberlain Fisher Funeral Homes in Adel, Redfield, and Van Meter. He was on the Adel City Council in 1976 and 1977 and served as Mayor in 1978 and 1979.

He was member of Adel Rotary and Van Meter Lions Club.

He loved to fish with “the claw and dirty 8” and hunt and eat in the south. He was the head of the family, always.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lenora; 5 children, Rob Chamberlain, Chris Jorgenson, Carolyn Chamberlain, Connie Annear, and Shawn Chamberlain 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, former wife, Barbara; 2 sisters, Wilma Thompson and Mary Lou Symmonds and 1 brother C.J. Chamberlain.

He was preceded in death by his parents,Clarence and Ferol Dee Chamberlain and 3 infant children.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to American Cancer Society.
