Robert John Jahner was born July 28, 1956, in Lodi, California the son of James Allen
Jahner and Rosetta (Page) Jahner.

As a child, Bob’s family traveled all over the United States for his father’s work. They eventually moved to Knoxville where Bob graduated with the Class of 1974.

Bob worked for JB Construction as a lineman until 1989, when he helped found South Central Contractors, a powerline construction company.

On July 28, 1989, he was united in marriage to Lorri Foster in West Des Moines. The
couple made their home in Knoxville, and Bob worked in the business until his retirement in 2000.
 Following his retirement, he enjoyed being involved in his kid’s activities.

Bob was also active in the First United Methodist Church, Marion County 4-H, and
the Marion County Republican Party, of which he served as chairman.

Bob passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at the Comfort House, in Pella, at the age of 54 years,
4 months and 9 days. He was preceded in death by his father.

Those left to mourn Bob’s passing include his wife, Lorri; two children: Lydia and Joseph all of Knoxville;
his mother, Rosetta Jahner of Knoxville, and his siblings: Jamey Jahner of Memphis,
AR, Teresa Myers of Knoxville, Shawn Jahner of Ankeny, Roy Jahner of Harvey and
Shane Jahner of Pleasantville and many other family members and friends.
