William Dean “Bill” Peisen went to be with our Lord on April 9, 2009. William Dean
Peisen, a prominent Valley attorney, was born October 10, 1957, in Eldora, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jo Anne C. Peisen.
He is survived by: His loving wife, Val LaMantia Peisen Son Marty Peisen, and Grant
Peisen Daughters Lisa Marie, Alex, and Jessica His devoted father, George F. Peisen
His brother John (Mary) Father-in-law Joe LaMantia, Jr. (Derrelene) Brothers-in-law
Joe, III (Marilyn), Greg (Dru), Steve (Linda), Tony (Jennifer) Numerous and adoring
nieces and nephews
The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at First United Methodist
Church, 4200 N. McColl, McAllen at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial
Gardens Cemetery on North Taylor Road. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that
donations be made to STARS (South Texas Academic Rising Scholars ), 3900 N. McColl
Road, McAllen, TX 78501.
Bill Peisen is a sole practitioner of the Law Offices of William D. Peisen, who
focuses on Civil Trial and Appellate Law with an emphasis on Commercial Litigation.
The Texas Board of Legal Specialization certified Bill as a specialist in Civil Trial in 1992.
He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1983 and admitted to the bar of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 1984 and has
practiced law in Hidalgo County since.
Bill received a B.S. in Economics from Iowa State University and graduated with distinction in 1980 and received a J.D. with distinction in 1983.
Bill was a member of the Board of Editors for the Iowa Law Review.
