Funeral services for William Dean Bacus, who died March 1, 1975, as the result of an automobile accident, were held March 3 from Arlington Chapel with Rev. Thomas Wheeler and Rev Clarence Oscarson Jr. officiating.

Burial was in Graceland Cemetery with military rites accorded by the combined Knoxville Veterans organizations

The casketbearers were Terry Edwards and Dick Reed. Robert Burton, Rus Tandy, Ron Mateer, and Gregg Fortune.

Mrs. Guy Anderson. Organist accompanied John Crawford, soloist.
William Dean, son of William E. and Wanda Cowman Bacus, was born Sept. 15, 1950, in Oskaloosa.
Bill Bacus
Bill was a graduate of Knoxville High School, attended Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville for two years, and served four years in the Air Force, one year of which was in Thailand. He had completed schooling as an air traffic control operator and was to move to Cedar Rapids where he had accepted a position.

Immediate survivors include his father, William E. Bacus, and his mother, Mrs. Wanda Swayne; a sister

Mrs. John Lawless of Cedar Rapids and a grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Cowman of Knoxville.
