Allyson Lynn (Bunney) Gould was born February 6, 1964, in Landstuhl, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany the daughter of Phillip Bunney, Sr., and Bonnie (Brown) Bunney.

When Allyson was in the 4th grade her family moved to Knoxville, Iowa. She graduated from Knoxville High School in the Class of 1983.

She attended college in Rexburg and Boise, Idaho. She worked in the home healthcare industry, helping and assisting individuals with high medical needs, and did mission work for the L.D.S. Church. She later moved to Fullerton, California.

Allyson then attended Cypress College, earning a degree in Culinary Arts. She worked for Disneyland as a pastry chef for several years. She then moved to Salt Lake City and worked for the Subway Corporation. In 1997,

Allyson returned to Iowa and was a training manager for the Plasma Center, in Des Moines, until her retirement in 2010.

Allyson loved to laugh and play jokes with her family and friends. She was kind, caring, and loved animals. Allyson was part of 4H, earning many awards, including a blue ribbon.

She was extremely devoted to her chinchillas, Buddy and Tipper, as well as the many animals she had throughout her life, which always brought her so much peace and joy.

Allyson passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Kavanagh House on 56th Street, in Des Moines, at the age of 58 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Bonnie, and her brother, Phillip Bunney, Jr.

Those left to cherish Allyson’s memory include her adopted mom, Vicki Solomon; adopted siblings: Amy Green, Anna Green, Stephanie Green, Catherine Green, Elizabeth Green, and Nathan Green; niece, Amber Bunney; nephew, Phillip Bunney III; former husband and dear friend, Ken Brooks and many other family members and friends.
