Services for Ada Mae (Cummings) Langebartels, 66, Knoxville, who died March 28, at the Pleasant
Care Living Center in Pleasantville, were March 31, 1995, at the Bybee and Davis
Funeral Home in Knoxville. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. The Rev.
Kenneth MacLeod officiated at the services. Music was provided by James Kidder,
organist and John Crawford, soloist.

Pallbearers were Don Goad, Ron Miller, Ralph
Dyer, Robert VanZee, Danny Wooldridge and Dean VandeKamp. Honorary pallbearers were
Roy Goemaat, Joe Langebartels, Tom Langebartels and David Langebartels.

Ada Mae
was born February 26, 1929, the daughter of Marvin and Ruth langebartels. She was
a life long resident of Marion County and attended Knoxville schools, graduating
in the class of 1947. She attended Iowa State College and earned a degree in home-economices
in 1951. She taught school in Eldora prior to her marriage.

On June 29, 1952, she
was united in marriage to James Cummings in Knoxville. The couple first lived in
Illinois, returning to Knoxville in 1954, where the couple farmed. Ada Mae was a
person that loved being a good homemaker for her family. She was an excellent cook
and enjoyed gardening. She was also a fine seamstress. She was a member of the Presbyterian
Church of Knoxville, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Garden Club. She was
preceded in death by her parents, and one brother in infancy.

Survivors include
her husband of Knoxville; three sons, Larry and Don Cummings of Knoxville and Randy
Cummings of Story City; one daughter, Connie Husted of Knoxville; one brother Donald
Langebartels of North Vernon, Ind. and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be made
to the Knoxville Future Farmers of America or to the Knoxville Future Homemakers
of America.

Arrangements were made by Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Pleasantville.
