Verdene (Walker) DuPree, 74, of Oskaloosa Died Feb. 2, 1994, at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa.
She was born Dec. 1, 1919, in Knoxville to Dwight and Margaret Leonard Walker.
She married Dwight DuPree on April 9, 1939, in Knoxville. He died May 31, 1980.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary. She also served as memorials chairwoman of the American Cancer Society for a number of years.
She is survived by a son, Benndtt DuPree of Compoc, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Vance Walker.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Charles Adam officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Church cemetery in Oskaloosa.
