Sarah Jean Collins was born April 29, 1980 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Rick and Teresa (Crowe) Hyatt.

She was raised in Knoxville and attended East Elementary, graduating from Knoxville High School in 1998.

On June 26, 1999 Sarah was united in marriage to James Patrick Collins II at the Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden in Knoxville.

The couple were blessed with two children: Sean and Natalie.

Sarah attended A.I.B. earning a Business Degree and Indian Hills Community College where she received her L.P.N. Degree. She was employed by the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics.

Sarah was an outgoing and fun-loving person. She enjoyed playing cribbage and other card games and singing karaoke. She loved babies, whether they were a friend’s child or a stranger’s, Sarah would make an instant connection. She will be remembered as a patient, kind, loving and forgiving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend by all who knew her.

Sarah passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her home at the age of 38 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Sam Crowe and Jackee Hyatt.

Those left to cherish Sarah’s memory include her husband, Pat; children: Sean and Natalie; parents: Rick Hyatt of Knoxville and Teresa Hyatt of Des Moines; siblings: Jenny Forkenbrock of Plain City, Ohio, Mike Hyatt of Ames and Chris Hyatt of Pleasantville and many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service for Sarah Collins, age 38 of Knoxville, will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Celebrate Church.

Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer.
