Michael Charles “Micky” Riggen, age 70, of Harvey, Iowa passed away Saturday morning, September 6, 2014, at the Westridge Nursing & Rehab Center of Knoxville.

Micky was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 23, 1944. The only child of Loel Lawrence “Fid” and Lois Maxine (Mart) Riggen.
At the age of 14 Micky began driving truck and he drove all his life. He trucked for Vince Orr Trucking, Gordon Trucking and Benn Shinn Trucking. Micky at a young age also served in the Iowa Air National Guard.

Micky enjoyed spending time at his cabin on the Des Moines River and also riding his Harley-Davidson. For many years Micky enjoyed bowling.

Micky is survived by his children, Troy White and wife Kathleen Lee-White of Knoxville, Kimberly White of Newton, Kristy Cushman and husband Chad of Harvey and Todd Riggen of Harvey. Micky is also survived by his six grandchildren, David White, Brett White, Matthew Beebe, Laney Cushman, Sami Cushman and Jalyne Riggen. He was preceded by his parents Loel “Fid” and Lois Riggen.

Micky’s wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at the family cabin, on the Des Moines River at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 13, 2014.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations will be accepted by the Riggen family and will be given to The Wounded Warrior Fund. Condolences may be sent to www.winfieldfh.com.
