Maxine Rankin Robinson died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of Earl Robinson (deceased) for 65 years, the devoted mother of Lynn and Michael Robinson, the cherished grandmother of Mohan Singh, and the loving great-grandmother of Malik and Mira Singh.

Maxine was born on August 3, 1919 in Tracy, Iowa. After graduating from Knoxville (Iowa) High School, she worked as an administrative assistant in the War (now Defense) Department in Washington, D.C. After World War II ended, Maxine worked for the Railroad Retirement Board, first in Chicago and then in Baltimore.

From the early 1950s until the late 1960s, she worked full time raising her children. Then she began working at the Social Security Administration where she rose to the level of Security Specialist before retiring in 1989.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD, 21228 on Monday, Oct. 13 from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Oct 14 from 10 AM at West Baltimore United Methodist Church, 5130 Greenwich Avenue, Baltimore, MD.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2130 Woodlawn Drive, Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to either MS Aquatics, c/o Joan Peters, Catonsville Y, 850 S. Rolling Rd, Catonsville, MD 21228 or to West Baltimore United Methodist Church, PO Box 3095, Baltimore, MD 21229.
