Services for John Dennison, 82, of Melcher-Dallas, who died June 24, 1990 at his home, were held June 27, at Mosher Funeral Home.
Interment was in Gosport Cemetery, Marion County.
Revs. Max Johnson and Lynn Elrod officiated at the services. Music was provided by JoAnn Luksetich, organist, and Colene Greubel, soloist.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Dan, Don and Bert Dennison, Grant Fee, Larry Wilson, Jim and Bob Funk, John, Mike and David Tassler, Bill Jenkins and Dwight Mater.
Mr. Dennison was born June 2, 1908, in Washington Township, Marion County, the son of James and Emma Snyder Dennison.
On Sept. 22, 1934 at Des Moines, he married LaVaughn Archbold.
A lifelong resident of Marion County, he was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three children, one daughter, Willa in infacy, and two sons, Larry and Willard.
He is survived by one daughter, Della Mae Tasler of Urbandale; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgranchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; one sister, Lois Ings of San Fernando, Calif; and numerous nephews and nieces.
