Services for Geraldine Irene (Cooper) Claussen; 80, of Pella, who died Oct. 8, 1990 at Pella Community Hospital, were held Oct. 11 at VanDyk-Duven Funeral Home.
Interment was in Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville. Pallbearers were Arnold DeBruin, Elmer DeWinter, Rod Gosselink, Bob Grandia, Earl Jones and Dick Van Zante
Mrs. Claussen was born Oct. 14, 1909 in Marion County, the daughter of John and Maye Stevens Cooper.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1927 and from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Des Moines in 1930.
On Aug. 20, 1930, she married Lester Henry Claussen at Brainerd, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Sonja Sue Jones of Pella; two grandchildren, Mrs. Galen (Roxanne) VanZee of Pella and Vincent Paul Jones of Shawnee, Okla.; and five great-grandchildren.
