Memorial services for Pastor Howard A. Schilling, 81, of Yuma, Arizona, who died
May 10, at Yuma Regional Medical Center, were held May 15, 1995, at First Baptist
Church in Yuma, Ariz. Burial was at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Yuma.

Pastor Bill Gray officiated at the services. Honorary pallbearers were Forest Jones,
T.O. Beach, Jim Wiltsey, Ferd Wardin, Myron Elliot and Stanley Graham.

Howard was born July 20, 1913, in Knoxville. He was the pastor of Somerton Baptist
Church, Somerton, Ariz. He previously served at Dixie Mountain Baptist Church, in
Hillsboro, Ore.; Grass Valley Baptist Church in Grass Valley, Ore.; Calvary Baptist
Church in Pendleton, Ore.; West Park Baptist Church in Hermiston, Ore.; Grace Baptist
Church in St. Helen's, Ore.; Faith Baptist Church in Lincoln City, Ore.; and Somerton
First Baptist Church in Somerton, Ariz.; and Minister of Spiritual Gifts at First
Baptist Church in Yuma, Ariz. He taught at Judson Baptist College in Portland, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Marie of Yuma, Ariz.; two sons, Jon, of Yorba
Linda, Calif., and Dean of Pendleton, Ore.; two brothers, Herman, of Knoxville,
and John of Missouri; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Hispanic Baptist Church, Somerton, AZ 85350.
