Hobart Frank Phipps, son of Clarence E. and Eriel Phipps, was born at Knoxville,
October 16 1914, and died June 30. 1953, at the Burton rest home, Indianola.
Surviving are six sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Glaidetlx Sparks, Kansas City,
Mo.; Harry W. Phipps, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Violet Bullington and Mrs. Dorothy Niccum,
Des Moines; Donald D. Phipps, Mrs. Virginia McVey, Robert L. Phipps, Delores L.
Phipps, Beverly R. Phipps and Larry D. Phipps all of Knoxville.
Funeral services were held from the Bybee & Davis funeral home last Friday afternoon,
at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. M. D. Summerbell and interment was made in the Greenwood
cemetery, north of Knoxville
