Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Helen Irene Crozier Wolcott, age 88, died peacefully at home in Summit Park on February 16, 2002.
Helen was born June 11, 1913 in Knoxville, Iowa to James Ray Crozier and Hallie May Sherman. She married Perl B. Wolcott on October 23, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1946 and were later married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Helen was a good mother and homemaker. She was a beautician. Perl and she delivered mail in the Park City area. She was a Major in the Civil Air Patrol for many years, directing many rescue missions.
Helen was a wonderful seamstress. She won many prizes for her quilts, crewel pictures, leather and embroidery work. She raised prize-winning flowers. She shared her handwork and flowers freely with others, providing flowers to her LDS congregation for many years. Helen was a devoted genealogist. Helen was a giving person.
Helen was preceded in death by husband Perl and daughter Kay Eileen Wolcott Bowers. She is survived by son Ray Byron Wolcott; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family wants to express sincere thanks to Anita Falk for more than five years of loving care and for acts of service by Relief Society sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 11 a.m. in the Summit Park Ward Chapel at the intersection of I-80 and Jeremy Ranch exit 143, 3010 W. Saddle Back Road.
Friends may call from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Summit Park Ward Building. Interment at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
