Florence Milburn,74, died Monday, October 30, 2006 at Kavanagh House. Funeral services wil be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, 7601 Fleur Drive. Des Moines, Iowa.
Florence was born in Knoxville, Iowa to Burdette and Alice Woolsey and graduated from Knoxville High School in 1950.

She moved to Des Moines after graduation and worked as an office clerk and cashier for several lending companies.

She married Mark Milburn in 1954 and to their union was born four children, Steven, Bruce, Rebecca and Beverly.

Florence was a member of Union Park United Methodist Church and the Women's Life Insurance Society. She enjoyed sewing, reading traveling and will be especially remembered for her devotion to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Mark of Des Moines; her sons, Steven (Sheryl) of Lost Nation, Iowa and Bruce (Tonya) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and her daughters Rebecca Wirth of Baldwin, Iowa and Beverly (Jeff) Van Hecke also of Baldwin, Iowa; as well as eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Also surviving are her brother, Lawrence Woolsey of Knoxville, Iowa and her sister Alberta (Bill) DeGoey of New Sharon, Iowa, as well as a large family of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces ad cousins. She was receded in death by her parents.

There will be a luncheon at Union Park United Methodist Church following the services. The church is located at 2305 E. 12th Street in Des Moines.
