Funeral services for Evelyn M. (Michmershuizen) Rowland, 80, of Davenport, who died Thursday, Jan.
30, 2003 at Genesis West Medical Center, were held Monday, Feb. 3, at Runge Mortuary.
Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Evelyn was born on October 13,
1922, in Knoxville, to Dirk J. and Pearl Genevieve (Jones) Michmershuizen.
She married Harold
"Jim" Rowland on May 31, 1942, in Unionville, Mo. After raising her family, Evelyn was employed at Turnstyle and Bishop's Cafeteria. After retiring, she enjoyed attending
Turnstyle luncheons. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Her joy in life was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob; and sister, Betty Kimmel.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; two sons and
daughters-in-law, David and Tracy of Davenport and William and Kathy of Matoon, Ill.; three grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
