Services for Eugene Ansel DesCamps, 72, formerly of Knoxville, who passed away April
12, 1992 in Royal Oak, Mich., were held April 15 in Berkley, Mich. Burial was in
White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Mich.
Mr. DesCamps was born Jan. 11, 1920 to Rene and Minnie Des Camps in Flagler. He
graduated from Knoxville High School where he was active on the track and football
teams.
On Dec. 24, 1949, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Coghlan of Attica. They
moved to Michigan in 1941 where they resided until his death. To this union five
children were born, Ronald, William, Gary, Diane and Thomas.
He was Past Master of Berkley Lodge #536 AF&AM and a Past Patron of Berkley OES
#483. He was also a member of the Scottish Rita and Moslem Shrine of Detroit.
He is survived by his wife and children; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild;
one sister; Phyllis Mart of Des Moines; two half-sisters, Estella McCleary and Glenda
Welde, both of Springfield, Mo., and one half-brother, Michael, also of Springfield,
Mo.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Arnold and Dwight.
