Funeral services for Mrs. Etha (Chamberlin) Moon, who died April 9, 1975, at Collins Memoriial Hospital, were held April 12 from Arlington Chapel with Dr. Leonard E. Deaver officiating.
Burial was in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of Evans-McCleery Funeral Service.
Casketbearers were Wiley Hutchinson, Gene Beaver, Jack Wooldridge, Max Parks, Vern Beck and Frank Elliott.
Etha, daughter of Gus and Mary Glass Chamberlain, was born near Prudy on Nov. 15, 1908.
After graduation Knoxville High School, she attended summer college in Chariton and taught in rural schools.
She served for 15 years as clerk of the Selective Service Board retiring in 1964.
On Dec 24, 1928 she was united in marrage to Lester Lowell Moon.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley Jo; brother, Douglas Chamberlain; and two sisters, Gladys Beebout and Flossie Gorman.
Surviving are husband, Lester; her son, Sheldon Moon of Pico Rivera, Calif.; four, brothers, C.J. Chamberlain of Newton, C.W. Chamberlain of Chariton, Gus of Whittier, Calif., and Ewing of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
