Erica Lynn Little was born on Aug. 13, 1985, in Knoxville, the daughter of Lisa
Swan and Kenneth Showers.
She was raised in Knoxville and attended local schools.
On Jan. 5, 2002, she married Andrew Thomas Little in Knoxville. They had two children,
Connor and Abby. In the summer of 2003, the couple moved to Beacon. Erica was a
devoted stay-at-home mother. Her children were the joys of her life. She also cherished
spending time with all of her family.
Her caring and compassionate nature extended
to animals; she loved taking care of pets and strays. In her spare time, Erica enjoyed
making crafts. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted, wife, mother, daughter,
sister and granddaughter.
Erica died April 9, 2006 at the Knoxville Hospital at the age
of 20.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Steve Dexter; grandparents,
Katherine and Leonard Showers and her great-grandparents, Marshall Vancenbrock and
Fred Dexter.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Andy; children,
Connor and Abby; her mother, Lisa Swan of Knoxville; father, Kenneth Showers of
Knoxville; sister, Emily Alexander of Knoxville; brother, Aaron Alexander of Knoxville;
grandparents, Clair and Marsha Reida of Knoxville; great-grandparents, Maxine Vancenbrock
of Pershing and Jerri Dexter of Knoxville; niece, Madison Jans and her in-laws,
Wayne and Carol Little of Bussey and Doug Little of Ames. Services were held April
12.
Internment was in Graceland Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions
