Services for Dorothy W. Toll, 71, of Attica, who died April 10, 1990 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held April 13 at VanDyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella.

Interment was in Gullion Cemetery, Attica
Mrs. Toll was born on April 11, 1918 in Knoxville, the daughter of John D. and Louie Woolsey Dainty.
She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1936.

On Nov. 27, 1936 at Attica, she married Charles Sweem. To this union three children were born. Sweem was killed on Jan. 28, 1945 during World War II.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Attica United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 6, 1948 at Tracy, she married Herman Toll. To this union two children were born. Herman Toll had three children by a previous marriage and together they raised their eight children.

She lived near Knoxville and in Tracy until moving to Attica in 1977.

Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Darlene.

She is survived by her husband Herman; their two sons, Dan and James Toll; her three children, Mrs. Ron (Sandra) Wymore of Grand Junction, Col., Judith Sweem of Denver, Col., and Richard Sweem of Phoenix. Ariz.; three step-children

Mrs. Fred (Betty) Radosevich of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Tat (Mary) Kalnins of Frankfort, Ill., and Herman Jr. of Santee, Calif.; five grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 15 step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the Knoxville Area Community Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

Pastor Dale Reisner officiated at the services. Music was provided by Carolyn Veenstra, organist.

Pallbearers were Daniel, James and Herman Toll, Jr., Ronald Wymore, Fred Radosevich, and Tat Kalnins.
