Dorothy C. (Collins) Brindle, age 92, of St. Louis Park, longtime resident of Edina, died March 4, 2013.

Preceded in death by husband, Elwood Harold (Woody) Brindle, January 1983.

Survived by children, Paul (Kathy), Anne, Ralph (Mary); 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; nieces and nephews and their families. Also survived by many friends who will miss her dearly.

Dorothy lived on Abbott Place in Edina for 54 years. Dorothy enjoyed birding, gardening and flower arranging. Dorothy's floral designs were enjoyed by visitors to Art in Bloom at the Mpls Institute of Arts, the MN State Fair and the Tri-City Flower Show. She was a loyal member of many clubs including Hidden Valley Garden Club, Edina Garden Council, Floralia and PEO.

Dorothy was awarded the Outstanding Senior Commendation by the City of Edina in 2000. She was Class Agent for more than 70 years for her Cornell College (Iowa) Class of 1942. Dorothy was an avid birdwatcher, traveling all over the western hemisphere.

She loved camping and canoeing with her family, traveling annually to Fenske Lake. She was a skilled bridge player, even getting a slam now and then. Memorial service 11 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2013, visitation one hour prior at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave, Mpls.
