Dennis James Van Donsler was born on April 2, 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa Rex and Bonnie
(Busick) Van Donsler.
Dennis was raised in Knoxville and attended Knoxville High
School. Dennis was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed
youth sports, Knoxville High School Football, the Boy Scouts, and Little League
Baseball.
On November 04, 1989 was united in marriage to Joyce Rebecca Sarnowski.
Dennis passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at his, at his home in Russell,
at the age of 50 years, three months, and 6 days.
Dennis was preceded in death by
his father, Rex Van Donsler. Dennis is survived by his wife Becky Van Donsler of
Russell; two stepchildren, AJ Jones and Denise Jones. Dennis is also survived by
his mother, Bonnie Van Donsler Hill of Knoxville; his siblings, Kathy Van Donsler,
Betty Crozier and Mark, Rick Van Donsler and Joy, all of Knoxville; and many nieces
and nephews.
A procession will leave at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 15th, from the
Winfield-Evans-McCleery Funeral Home and a graveside funeral service will be held
for Dennis at the Indiana Chapel Cemetery of rural Attica. Swann Juline will be
officiating.
A luncheon will follow services at the Nazarene Church Fellowship Hall in Knoxville. Visitation for Dennis will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.,
Wednesday, July 14th, at the Winfield-Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Dennis’ family will be present from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening.
In lieu of
flowers a memorial has been established to the Marion County Humane Society and
Helping Hands.
