Services for "Corky" Overton, 80, of Oxford, Michigan, who passed away February
15, 1992 of a stroke, were held at Lake Orion First United Methodist Church on Feb.
23, 1992. Burial of the cremains will be at Zion Cemetery in Pershing, Iowa.
"Corky"
spent his early years in Knoxville, graduating from Knoxville High School. His working
career was with John Morrell & Company, where he retired as National Sales Manager.
He was united in marriage to Josephine Crouch in 1934, and she proceded him in death
in 1990. To this union were born two children, Pam DeBoer of Rochester Hills, Michigan
and John who lives with his wife Sue in Vashon, Washington.
He leaves, besides his
children, three grandsons, two sisters; Louise of Anaheim, California, and Laurabelle
of Knoxville, one brother; John Henry of Fresno, California, and a list of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
