Services for Charles Bruinekool, 54, of Grandview, Washington, who died November 4, 1980 at his place of work, were held November 8 at the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home in Grandview.
Interment was is Grandview Cemetery. Rev. Sherman Schmidt officiated at the services.
Mr. Bruinekool was born at Cedar Rapids, Iowa and received his education in the Knoxville schools.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War IL Following his military service he returned to Richland, Wash., and was employed in the early construction of the Hanford Project.
He was a longtime employee of this company and was a Radiation
Montitor for the
Westinghouse Corporation.
He was married to Lyla Hatner In 1949 at Richland, Wash. They lived at Pasco, Wash. until March, 1982 then moving to Grandview, Wash..
He was a member of Electrical Workers Union and a Veteran of W.W. II.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo.
He is survived by his wife, Lyla; two sons. Douglas of Grandview and Donald of Ellensburg, Wash.; two grandsons; three sister, Mrs. Betty Dixon of Pigeon, Mich., Mrs. Maxine Gnagy, Carson, Calif., and Mrs. Dorothy Horak of Cedar Rapids.
A Charles Bruinekool Memorial Fund for the purchase of a seeing eye dog for the blind has been established and memorials may be sent to the Smith Funeral Home, Elm and Fourth, Grandview, Wash. 98930.
