Cecil A. Romine, son of Edd Leroy and Mary Moore Romine, was born October 17, 1917,
at Milo. He moved, with his parents to Knoxville in 1920 and graduated from the
Knoxville high school in 1934.

On October 14. 1939, the deceased was united in marriage with Sarah Stevenson,
who survives him.

On completion of his schooling, Mr. Romine was associated with his parents in their
ice cream business on west Pleasant street in Knoxville, known as "Romines," until
1943, when the business was sold.

Cecil worked for Carroll Price at the "mill" until November, 1943, when he and Sarah
moved to California. He was an employee of the Union Oil company of California,
until April, 1948, when with his wife and her parents, started a business, known
as Romine's Ice Cream company at San Pedro, Calif. This business was sold last year,
and until his sudden death, Cecil was an employee of the Rhodes Lewis company of
Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Romine died suddenly of a heart attack, February 12, 1953, at his home in Torrance,
Calif., at the age of 35 years, 3 months and 26 days. He was preceded in death by
his father in July, 1935.

Surviving are his widow, Sarah, his mother, Mrs. Mary Romine, of Altadena, Calif.;
brother Lester of Compton, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Winifred Sudduth, of Altadena,
Calif.; Mrs. Mildred Denesen, of Bakersfield, Calif.; Mrs. Vera Rivera, of Austin,
Tex.; Mrs. Sara Ross, of Rock Island, Ill.; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Stevenson, of Torrance; a sister-in law. Mrs. Jacquelyn Finn, of San Pedro,
Calif.

Funeral services were held from McNerney's mortuary, Monday, February 16, and he
was laid to rest at beautiful Inglewood Park cemetery at Inglewood, Calif.
