Graveside services for Lyman (Bill) Bybee, who died Dec. 24, 1973, at Cedar Rapids, were
held Dec. 27 at Graceland Cemetery with Bybee & Davis Funeral Home in charge.

Dr.
Leonard E. Deaver officiated. Pallbearers were Owen Fleming, Arthur Emerson, Lionel
Bybee, Glenn Smith, Herb Cline and Joe Betterton.

Lyman C., son of Alan Pete and
Kate Cline Bybee, was born March 28, 1913 in Knoxville where he graduated from high
school in 1931.

He attended Grinnell College and graduated from Northwestern University
in 1935. Following service during World War II, he entered University of Iowa law
school and graduated in 1950.

For the past 20 years, he resided in Arlington, Va.,
and was an attorney for the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, D.C. His
parents preceded him in death.

Immediate survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Arthur
(Margery) Fleming of Des Moines and Mrs. Arthur (Ethel) Emerson of Cedar Rapids.
