Funeral services for Bill James Galvin, who died Sept 10, 1973, were held Sept. 13 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Leonard E. Deaver officiating.
The burial was in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of Bybee & Davis Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Eugene Hays, Howard Hunt, James Riherd, Raymond Jones, Paul Cronkhite, and Ed Vandekamp. Mrs. Lois Anderson was the organist.

James William, son of Dee and Muriel Ghrist Galvin, was born Feb. 25, 1923, on a farm near Pleasantville. He graduated from Knoxville High school in 1940 and received a B.A.
degree from Central College in 1948. A medical technologist by profession, he was an employee of the VA Hospital.

He was united in marriage to Louise Neifert on Nov 9, 1947, and made their home in Knoxville.

He was a member of First Methodist Church; secretary and Past Grand of Knoxville IOOF Lodge 96; treasurer and past president of the American Medical Technologist

Surviving is his wife Louise; children, Mary Lou and Gary, at home; his mother Mrs. Muriel Galvin of Knoxville; one brother. Lerlia of Mesa, Ariz.
