Apryle D. Maddy, age 38 of Albia, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, at her home in Albia.

Apryle was born May 14, 1975 to John Alexander and Brenda Lea (Sulentich) Kamerick in Knoxville. She married Michael Maddy on March 23, 2002 in Knoxville. To this union four children were born, Kaylea Marie, Millie Jean, Michael John, and Perry Luke.

Apryle graduated from Knoxville High School Class of 1994. She was a member Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia. Apryle was a devoted parent and loved spending time with her children. She was a Third Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and enjoyed collecting martial arts weapons. Apryle was very talented at various things including drawing, writing poetry, singing, playing the piano and cooking.

Apryle is survived by her husband, Michael of Albia; three children, Millie Jean, Michael John, and Perry Luke all of Albia; a sister, Natasha (Roy) Lambert of Knoxville; her mother, Brenda Kamerick of Knoxville; her grandmother, Gladys Kamerick; a niece, Porschella Lambert; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, John; and a daughter, Kaylea.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia; with Pastor Neil Montz officiating. No visitation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society.
