Debra Sue (Reynolds) Willemsen was born November 17, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Kenneth James Reynolds and Violet (Breese) Reynolds.
She was raised on her family’s farm in the Knoxville area. Deb attended Knoxville schools and in 1980 she was married to Greg Willemsen. The couple had two boys, Kenneth and Jonathan. She lived in Monroe and Knoxville before moving to Newton 2 years ago.
Deb loved being on the family farm and helped take care of her parents in their later years. She enjoyed the beach and collecting unique rocks.
Deb’s children were the most important part of her life and she cherished every moment they spent together.
Deb passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at her home, in Newton, at the age of 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish Deb’s memory include her sons: Kenneth and Jonathan both of Newton and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service for Debra Willemsen, age 60 of Newton and formerly Knoxville, will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pleasantville Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
